If you legally live in the UAE on a residence visa with a valid Emirates ID and need a short-stay (Type C) Schengen visa, you apply through the consulate of your main destination country, and the appointment is booked through an application centre — VFS Global, BLS International or TLScontact — in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. xVisa monitors availability at these centres around the clock, uses AutoBooking to secure the earliest appointment for you, checks your documents against consulate requirements, and supports you to a decision. The consulate decides the visa; we take the searching and the waiting off your hands. Whatever passport you hold — Indian, Pakistani, Filipino, Egyptian or another — if you are a UAE resident with a valid Emirates ID, you can apply through the VFS Global and BLS International centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. xVisa scans every relevant centre at once, secures the earliest available date and prepares your file to consulate standards. Honest service, the same for everyone: no queue-jumping, no priority slots for sale.

Schengen visa from the UAE — by country

Apply for a Schengen visa from United Arab Emirates with xVisa — visa centres, document checklists, appointment booking and end-to-end support, by destination.

Appointments

Can't find an appointment? Let's catch an earlier date.

Schengen appointments from the UAE fill up fast: for popular countries, dates can close the moment they open, and some centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi show "waitlist" for weeks. Refreshing three separate booking pages every day is exhausting — and usually gets you nowhere. Instead, xVisa scans every relevant centre for you around the clock. When a date opens, AutoBooking secures the earliest available appointment; you just prepare your documents and we handle the rest. We show you real, live availability — which countries are open and where — rather than vague "we'll sort it fast" promises.

We do not guarantee a specific slot or date; we never jump the queue or sell priority slots.

Why xVisa

Why UAE applicants choose xVisa

Earliest appointment with AutoBooking

We compare every centre in Dubai and Abu Dhabi and automatically secure the first available date.

Real, live availability

We show which countries and cities are actually open right now — real data, not the vague promises you get from slot-alarm apps or done-for-you aggregators.

Document check

Every document is checked against consulate requirements before submission, cutting the risk of an incomplete or incorrect file.

Expert support

Ask real specialists your questions throughout the process.

Honest & fair

The same service for everyone; no queue-jumping, no priority for sale, no slot trading.

Secure

Your data is encrypted with AES-256, and the service is run by an independent, UK-registered company.

Fees

Fees: the Schengen visa fee and xVisa's service fee

The total cost has three parts: the consulate visa fee, the application-centre service fee, and (if you use us) the xVisa service fee.

No hidden fees.

Official fees and centre charges can change — verify on the consulate/centre website before applying.

  • Short-stay Schengen visas are usually decided within ~15 calendar days after the appointment; in busy periods this can extend to 45 days. You can apply at most 6 months before travel. Finding the appointment is a separate matter — the real bottleneck is usually the appointment, not the processing.
  • Apply as early as possible; leave a buffer.
  • In peak season (summer, public holidays) appointments get even scarcer — act early.
  • To reduce the appointment-side delay, xVisa monitors availability for you.
  • These times are informational and vary by consulate; they are not a guarantee.
Schengen visa fee (consulate, official)

Children aged 6 to 12 pay €45, and children under 6 pay nothing.
Set by the Schengen states in euro and collected in local currency by the visa centre on the consulate's behalf.
Application-centre service fee (VFS Global / BLS International / TLScontact)
Varies by centre and is added by the centre itself, separately from the visa fee.

Eligibility

Who can apply from the UAE?

Eligibility and the residence documents required can vary by consulate — confirm the exact list with the consulate.

You're eligible if
  • You are a UAE resident with a valid residence visa and Emirates ID, and you want a short-stay (Type C) Schengen visa.
  • You hold a visa-required passport (for example Indian, Pakistani, Filipino or Egyptian) and legally live in the UAE.
  • Your purpose is tourism, a business meeting, a family/friend visit, or a short event.
This service is not a fit if
  • You do not have UAE residency (applications are generally made from the country where you legally reside).
  • You hold an Emirati passport — UAE nationals are visa-exempt for short Schengen stays and will use ETIAS once that system launches, so you do not need a visa or this service.
  • You need a long-stay (Type D) national visa for stays over 90 days, work or study — that is a different process.

The basics

An end-to-end Schengen visa service for UAE residents

xVisa is an end-to-end service for UAE residents applying for a short-stay Schengen visa: we find the earliest appointment, prepare your application file to consulate requirements, and support you until a decision. This is not just an app that pings you when a slot appears — it is a team that stays with you through the whole application.

We are an independent service; we are not affiliated with VFS Global, BLS International, TLScontact or any consulate.

  • UAE residents travelling to the Schengen Area for tourism, business, family/friend visits or a short event.
  • Residence-visa holders with a valid Emirates ID who carry a visa-required passport (for example Indian, Pakistani, Filipino or Egyptian).
  • Anyone struggling to find an appointment, or who wants the process done accurately and on time.

Where to apply

Which Schengen country should you apply to?

The rule is clear: apply to the consulate of your main destination — the country where you'll spend the most nights. If nights are equal, apply to the country of first entry. A country you only transit through does not count as your main destination.

Example 1 — clear main destination

5 nights in Germany, 1 night in France → the German consulate.

Example 2 — equal nights

3 nights Netherlands, 3 nights France, first landing in Amsterdam → the Netherlands (first entry).

Documents

Required documents (checklist) and common mistakes

The exact list varies by country and purpose — always verify on the relevant consulate's website.

  • Valid passport (at least 3 months' validity after your trip, issued within the last 10 years).
  • Proof of UAE residenceresidence visa and a valid Emirates ID (some consulates ask that these remain valid for a period beyond your trip).
  • Fully completed application form.
  • Travel medical insurance (minimum €30,000 cover).
  • Schengen-standard biometric photo.
  • Return/round-trip itinerary and accommodation bookings.
  • Proof of funds (bank statements, etc.).
  • Letter of intent / invitation (recommended; important for business or family visits).

Most common mistakes that lead to refusal

  • Insufficient or inconsistent financial documents.
  • Insurance cover too low or not covering the whole trip.
  • Accommodation/itinerary not matching the application dates.
  • Applying to the wrong country (not following the main-destination rule).
  • Residence or Emirates ID validity too short for the consulate's requirement.
  • Booking the appointment too late, leaving too little time.
